In 1993, GALENIX started its business at Bordeaux University mainly by providing contract pharmaceutical development services to the health industry.
After 1999, the company’s own research projects became more important than contract development.
In parallel, a more formal organization was set up with an Analytical Department (1995), a Regulatory Affairs Department (1998), a new research organization for market surveys and drug delivery, GALENIX INNOVATIONS (2000) and GALENIX INC. (2008).
Today, the company runs two entities: GALENIX INNOVATIONS* and GALENIX INC. with a highly qualified staff. There is a vast majority of Post-Doc, PhD and Msc amongst the heads of departments, involved either in research or in development operations.

Two entities, one pharmaceutical business service
GALENIX INNOVATIONS is located in Saint-Jean-d’Illac in Bordeaux area (SW France). This laboratory is the research and development forces of GALENIX.
Drug Delivery, strategic surveys, formulation and analytical development, quality control, ICH stability studies are performed by GALENIX INNOVATIONS.
From a Drug Delivery System design, through the feasibility study with an API and the formulation of a prototype, and full pharmaceutical development, Galenix covers the entire pharmaceutical development process ending up with the registration file submission and scale-up to the industrial production site.
GALENIX INC, located in New York, is the American business office.
